conductors and insulators

as i had some technical problems, i couldn't post anything for a long time. sorry for that!

Well, with reference to the title, "conductors and insulators", i think that may be looking at the type of people in the society, our ancestors would have come to a conclusion to name the materials as conductors and insulators.
i conceive it this way. Those who are not useful to the society were called as insulators, i mean those people who don't take responsibility for moving the society and the whole human kind forward are these insulators, and the vice-versa, those through whom the society is moving and benefiting were called as conductors.
Slowly, i believe that this concept got extended to the materials later...now what do you say?

so whom do you think were called as semi-conductors?

  1. i think u r being too harsh on the insulators by calling them "not useful" to society, and more by putting it on our ancestors. its the insulators that protect us from conductors. Every thing (in here, everyone) is good in whatever it (they) do.

  2. thanks buddy! thank you very much for your comments! well, agreed to what you said. i just wanted to associate our concepts and awaken those not useful to the society.
it's very much true that all the materials have it's own use, nevertheless there are some metals not knowing their actual identity.
    thanks karthu!

  3. You have a wonderful eye to see ingenuity in the "applied sciences" of our lives. Let your imagination roll! I'm looking out for some brainwaves to hit me soon.

P.S : look up ingenuity in wikipedia.. interesting definition.

with such prime movers (i mean your comments), this generator assures a steady output, through which it hopes to power up more such machines...
thanks a lot for your comments!
